SHE WAS SUN

Naturally delivers a ray of Hope

She was Sun,
She sets by a ray of light,
Whilst going down, coordinating color,
She would rise by light of day to brighten it,
She was Sun,
She glares through the internal focal window.

She was Sun,
She awakens the sky of heavenly light,
When raising up, she comes to enlighten the day,
She endures thee darkness to bring light,
She was Sun,
Shining brightly, like an always lit lantern.

She was Sun,
She sustains the sky, for it’s never ending gleam,
Ultimately she extends sovereignty inside a moment feel,
She allows more light to lift internal spirit,
She was Sun,
Energizing the nature of well being

She was Sun,
She fulfills a sight unseen to be seen,
Whenever she glows up, many winter’s relief prevail,
She shines the electrical firework spark, setting off light,
She was Sun,
Storms come to an ending at this time.

She was Sun,
She evens the blinding sands upon plains,
Always ready to brighten, for what is next she has in store,
She prospers from a healing of health and nature,
She was Sun,
Seasons change, equating a change to nurture.

She was Sun,
She radiates power with emergence,
Always able to melt the freeze of shivers,
She turns up light into a new morning day,
She was Sun,
Naturally delivers a ray of Hope.

She was Sun.

A MAN NAMED SICK ©

I knew this man

I knew this man named Sick,
The way he talked and the way he walked,
I knew he was slick,
He told me he was sharp on his game,
I told him truth would be his claim to fame.

Sick said he didn’t have to play by the rules,
I told Sick, he could end up in all the wrong schools,
Sick said, I am too damn overtly clever,
I said Sick, you are headed to that place called never,
Sick spoke about all he would do not to get to that place ever.

I told Sick to rethink his thoughts and change his ways,
Sick said, why should I? I’ve been doing this all my days,
I said, I don’t care what you do,
I’m giving you advice, just to help save yourself from you.

Sick just laughed at me and said, listen woman you can’t tell me nothing
that’s already embedded in my head,
I told Sick, you are so animated, inadequate, ignorant and not well read,
For the consequences of your lesser deeds of what you portray are gonna get you busted all upside your head.

I felt in my gut, this would be the last time I would ever see Sick again,
Knowing him from childhood and the neighborhood, he had become sin,
Moving forward from our conversation that day, I felt a need to pray,
For I knew Sick would not live a long life doing things in his way.

My day was done, so I decided to watch the six o’clock news, to my dismay,
The news struck my nerve about the conversation I had with Sick that day,
The reporter said, a young man was struck down by three bullets to the head,
News traveled fast from the neighbors, saying it was someone from our neighborhood, which was called and known as The Shred.

Sitting still I gazed at the television thinking about my premonition,
I was hoping it wasn’t the person whom I had envisioned,
Sick was the first person who came to my mind.
I said, Oh Lord, please no more death at this time.

Following my first mind, I rushed to the hospital to see if it was Sick,
The doctor asked me if I could and would identify this man,
I said I know this man and yes I can,
I told the doctor we all called him Sick but his true birth name was Rick.

The doctor continued with the scenario of what his gunshot wounds were,
The doctor also told of Sick’s last words of what the strife Sick had incurred,
At this time all the doctors gathered around me, while one told me he held on to his life as long as he could
for there was nothing else they could do or would,

Another doctor said, Sick was screaming and shouting for us to save his life,
He asked this particular doctor to call the woman who gave him the best advice.

RIP SICK.

A Nature Course

A Nature Course

Like the sparkle of spring water
Like the ray of sun
Like the motion of the ocean
Like the whistle of wind
Like the gusting of sand
Like the smell of air
Like the wet of rain
Like the creatures of nature
Like the beauty of flower
Like it all for nature is on a steady course

Taste of spring water
Energy of sun
Coolness of ocean
Sound of wind
Color of sand
Crisp of air
Moisture of rain
Creatures of  land
Bloom of flower
Nature is on a changing course

Liquidity in spring water dried
UV  in sun burned
Force in oceans flooding
Chill in winds freezing
Grit in sand stormed
Breath of air polluted
Rise of rain drowning
Bud of flower wilted
Creatures of nature demise
Nature took a turn for the worse of course

We Are Creatures of Nature

We Are Creatures of Nature

We are creatures of nature
We must do what God said to do
We need to clean this land
One by one and hand by hand

We are creatures of nature
We need to fix what we can
We need more love and togetherness
We know of the old wise man

We are creatures of nature
We must do better for fellow man
We must join together one by one
We have to do this hand in hand

We are creatures of nature
Let us not reap what we sow
We need to sow seeds together
For our green earth to continue to grow

We are creatures of nature
We were put all over this land
It takes all of us to do what’s right
So we can follow God’s plan

We are creatures of nature
However we choose
Now if we don’t clean up God’s earth
We the people will only loose

We are creatures of nature
No need to explain
We are all put here for a purpose
To live in harmony, without the pain

We are creatures of nature
We just cannot let it be
We have choices in life
To make it all worth it for you and me

We are creatures of nature
We must love it too
For if the ground we walk on is not cleaned up
We will end up in doom

We are creatures of nature
We must do what’s right
We have got to lift each other up in prayer
We must save each other’s lives

We are creatures of nature
We know our Father loves us so
We got to give it all up to God
We must now bow our heads and nod
Amen
