SIGHT FROM THE HEART

Some of us have sight, but still can’t perceive,
The beauty around us, that we ought to receive,
We take for granted, who has always been there,
Stop! Take time out to appreciate others, not stop to just stare.

Others see more than what meets the eye,
They notice the details, they don’t just pass by,
They find the magic in the simplest things,
They also appreciate to see joy that nature brings.

What of, those who can’t see with their eyes,
The ones who must rely on their heart, their spirit, their ties.
To the world around them, to sense its true form,
Their other senses become alerted, heightened and warm.

For they know the heart cannot be seen,
They love, the connection, that flows in between,
The physical world and the heart’s own internal beat,
Plays a rare, rhythmic, precious, melodic song that’s truly sweet.

So therefore, we must cherish our sight and our heart,
For they work together to be fair, to create a moving work of art,
A masterpiece that’s unique to each and every one,
The heart is created for a life that is yet to be spun.

We must learn to trust the eyes of our heart,
To see beyond the surface, to go beyond that part,
To understand the message that’s hidden inside,
We must let the truth become our intuition guide.

For when we can see with our heart, not only with our eyes,
We can open up to a world that’s full of a happy surprise,
We can find new meaning for the mundane to become anew,
We can discover the joy in everything else we can do.

So let us celebrate the gift of life and sight,
Both the physical, the spiritual, with all our might,
Let us use our heart to spread truth, love and light,
To guide us through the darkness of these chaotic nights.

TONIGHT (Part 2)

He Returns

He pondered days and months and now a year had gone by
His conscience kept leading him back to he and she
He knew he must return to the meadow with hopes to see her again
Tonight his journey to the meadow with an urgency would begin

He got back to the meadow hoping she would be there
He also knew a lot of time had elapsed since that one night
He figured his apology of their past could be zero to none
Tonight he felt so sad for her to do what he had done

He now felt contempt for not knowing what he should do
He was still determined to see his journey all the way through
He began to map out what course he could or would take
Tonight he could not waste more time for goodness sake

He had constant questions nagging at him about he and she
He felt a sense of darkness hit him deep down inside his soul
He awakened to how he had demeaned her light from within
Tonight he cried  O’ Lord deliver me for I have sinned

He fell down to his knees and he began aloud to pray
He ask the Lord to direct and rescind his wrongful actions to the right
He told the Lord that he had not followed life’s golden rules
Tonight he would submit to the Lord’s blessed and sacred school

He realizes his journey to see her now may be tried but true
He could not accept how bad he hurt her feelings that first night
He feels now he needs more help from the power of the Lord
Tonight he can feel better for redeeming to the Lord’s accord

He finally thought he should come back to the meadow real soon
He therefore acknowledge that time may not wait for many a moon
He proceeded to ask the neighbors he knew they both grew up with
Tonight he felt somewhat relief for this could be his answer to all this.
